We absolutely love these shoes! My son and I got these for each other for Christmas. He's 13 and I'm a 50 year old mom. They are so incredibly comfortable. I don't think he's taken his off since Christmas morning. I am a Martial Artist and Massage Therapist, so I love being bare foot. I typically take off my shoes while doing a massage because conventional running shoes make my back ache while working, but I can actually work in these. I believe it's because my heels are not elevated like they are in the regular shoe. Even a 1/2 or 1/4 deviation can make a difference to your spine.

Don't be too concerned about the fit. My son has long toes (like monkey fingers!) and I have Fred Flintstone feet and the same style seems to fit both of us. As for the "I can't stand to have anything between my toes" people...neither can I, but these don't bother me at all.

I haven't done any real distance running in them yet, but the little I've done has been great. Especially in the sand! Sweet.

The only real caviat is the socks. It's a little more than I typically like to pay for socks, but worth it.
